OPINION: What if it all turns out for the best?

In these uncertain times, it is difficult to overcome sensationalism.

In just a few short days the mild anxiety of day to day life is replaced by the crippling fear of not being able to maintain the status quo.

Compound these new fears with abrupt social isolation, and — BOOM — you just got served a Quirantini dry with a twist. (These actually sound good — where can I get one?)

At this moment perception is clutch. As it stands nothing will ever be the same.

When we come out of this — and you know we will — we will be different people. We must be careful with what we speak, think and feel into existence.

It is easy to fall into the despair of visualizing a dystopian future replete with gas masks, poverty, and totalitarian governments, but how about this? Let’s, instead, become fearless and break our own barriers. Instead of mindlessly biding our time at home watching TV and snacking, we self-discipline, self-educate and use this pressure to become diamonds.

In stillness, answers come. The universe is always trying to guide you. Listen to what your heart tells you.

Let’s move into a brand-new energy of what is possible. Use this time to pinpoint what drags you down — relationships, circumstances, ways of thinking — and close it out.

Emerge from this withdrawal new. Shed the visceral panic of scarcity. Use this time to get creative and find new ways of existing. This is an opportunity to come together and build a better world. Not just with good vibes and hugs, but through goodwill and action — education, camaraderie, volunteerism, patronage — we can come out of this stronger people.
