Cain Park Arts Fest 2025

Campaign Identity, Poster Design, Print Collateral, Digital Promotion

For the 48th Annual Cain Park Arts Fest, the campaign began with a question about permission.

The first visual idea came to life: classical sculpture wearing modern VR headsets, glitchy and interrupted for a teaser video. It placed old and new forms of art in direct conflict, using distortion to make the festival feel current, strange, and alive.

That direction evolved after street art was designated as something outside the event’s bounds. The comment changed the center of the work. For an arts festival, the boundary between approved and unapproved expression felt worth examining rather than avoiding.

The final campaign used the visual language of wheatpasted flyers, graffiti marks, crown tags, spray paint, torn paper, and layered posters. It was designed to feel public before it felt polished, like artwork already moving through the city before it entered an official frame.

Classical sculpture sat within a field of street markings and visual interruptions, creating a deliberate collision between fine art and public art, institutional culture and unsanctioned expression. The design challenged the assumption that public-facing work has to be quiet in order to be organized.

The campaign included the main Arts Fest artwork, teaser video, poster design, digital and social assets, application reels, and supporting print materials for the 2025 season. The system was bright, direct, and built for public use without flattening its underlying idea.

The result announced the event, carried the necessary information, and made a point before anyone read the details.
